Industry pain points

The challenges of traditional methods — old house renovation

High Labor Costs

Demolition and tile removal incur expensive labor fees, resulting in persistently high renovation costs.

Dust Everywhere

Demolition work generates heavy dust, which severely impairs living environment.

Long construction period

Demolition – Relaying – Curing, the entire cycle takes several weeks.

Total home clearance

Moving furniture, temporary relocation – major disruption to daily life.

No tile removal, no need to empty the entire house. Renew all wall and floor tiles in a short time. Low cost, highly eco-friendly, and strong weather resistance.

One-stop solution to yellowing, aging, and outdated tile styles – easily upgrade the texture of your old living space.

Solution Overview

No demolition, no tile removal. One coat, a brand-new look. Apply and use immediately.

Option A • Two-Component

KW 8307/8306 + SN 7560

Silane coupling agent (added later)

Two-component system, crosslinker added later. The resin and crosslinker are stored separately and mixed in proportion before application. This achieves higher crosslinking density and superior overall performance. It is suitable for engineering projects with higher requirements for water resistance, weather resistance, and abrasion resistance.

Option B • One-Component

KW 8307/8306 + SN 7520

Silane coupling agent (added first)

One-component system with crosslinker pre-incorporated in the formulation. SN 7520 delivers excellent hydrolytic stability and can be added directly during paint preparation for easier application. Suitable for renovation projects prioritizing construction efficiency.

Core Principle: One end of the silane coupling agent molecule forms a chemical bond with the silanol groups on the tile surface, while the other end reacts with the organic groups of the resin – this is the key to ensuring that the renovation and recoloring layer does not peel off.

Technical Principle

Silane Coupling Agent—Chemical Bonding, The Key to Non-Peeling Performance

Mechanism of Silane Coupling Agent

Waterborne Acrylic Resin (KW 8307 / KW 8306)

% Chemical Bonding (Covalent Bond)

Silane Coupling Agent (SN 7560 / SN 7520)

% Chemical Bonding (Si-O-Si)

Tile Surface (Containing Silanol Groups Si-OH)

One end of the molecule bonds to the tile, while the other end reacts with the resin, forming a strong interfacial layer that ensures the recoloring coating remains durable and does not peel off.

Summary

• Without silane addition, KW 8307 shows slightly better adhesion than KW 8306.
• After silane incorporation (SN 7560 / SN 7520), adhesion reaches Grade 0–2 overnight.
• Both achieve Grade 0 after 3 days with marginal difference.
• Silane-based crosslinkers perform significantly better than carbodiimide and aziridine.
• Good wet adhesion is maintained after 40 days of water immersion at 40°C.

Performance Test • Adhesion

No abnormality after 40-day water immersion at 40°C plus 1-hour boiling water treatment.

Performance Test • Storage Stability

Excellent viscosity stability and adhesion performance

KW 8306

Initial Viscosity: 88.5 KU → 50°C × 30d after 94.6 KU

Change: +6.1 KU

Adhesion after thermal storage: Grade 0–1

Slightly higher thickening response and higher initial viscosity for the same formulation. Considerable viscosity increase after thermal storage.

KW 8307

Initial Viscosity: 83.2 KU → 50°C × 30d after 84.3 KU

Change: +1.1 KU

Adhesion after thermal storage: Grade 0–1

Relatively better viscosity stability upon thermal storage. Low viscosity increment, superior storage stability.

SN 7520 Advantages of One-Component System

Benefiting from the excellent hydrolytic stability of SN 7520, the crosslinker can be added directly during paint preparation in the one-component system. After 30 days of accelerated thermal storage at 50°C, viscosity rises only slightly, and adhesion remains Grade 0–1.
